Cowboy Bebop - “Mish-Mash Blues” - Session XX (unreleased)
made between episode 13 and 14
Wikipedia says:
XX “Mish-Mash Blues”
“Yoseatsume Burūsu” (よせあつめブルース) Special (June 26, 1998)
Due to the violence portrayed in the series, and the violence occurring at the time in Japanese schools, the series was briefly canceled and “Mish-Mash Blues” was created. The characters provide a philosophical commentary and it ends with the words: “This Is Not The End. You Will See The Real “Cowboy Bebop” Someday!”
It serves as a thematic recap of the series up to episode 13.
Is it a coincidence that it has similarities to episode 14 of Evangelion? Which begins with recycled footage to recap and transitions to Rei’s poetic existential thoughts.

“If you are a sex offender, it should be on your driver’s license. Also, store clerks should card childless single adults attempting to buy two six packs of Yoo Hoo. Then, the clerk can say “No sir, you are a sex offender and no adult is going to drink two sixers of chocolate drink. You may buy one, and put those Whoppers back.”

If I can get serious for a moment, it really fucking disturbs me that we have this cultural idea that “sex offender” = “kiddie fiddler”. Well, no. Depending on your local state laws and circumstances, someone can get a record as a “sex offender” for anything from groping someone without their consent (which isn’t something you should ever do but doesn’t equal ‘child rapist’) to having consensual sex with a 16 year old when you’re 18 to public urination. Which then, if you’re unlucky enough to live somewhere like Florida, puts you under all sorts of ridiculous reactionary laws that end up forbidding you from even living anywhere but under a bridge. Our “think of the children!” panic routinely destroys people’s lives for no good reason.
